Hey Lakes Region ATV Club Members and Friends!

Dust off those machines and get ready for some fun because, as of May 15th, the ATV trails in our area are officially OPEN for the season!

We know you’ve been eagerly waiting to hit the trails and experience the beauty of the Lakes Region from your ATV. Your Lakes Region ATV Club has been working hard to ensure the trails are in the best possible condition for your riding enjoyment.

Before you head out, it’s absolutely crucial that you visit the official Trail Report page for the most up-to-date information: https://lratv.com/trail-report/

On the trail report page, you’ll find important details such as:

  • Current trail conditions: Are they dry, dusty, muddy, or are there any specific areas to be aware of?
  • Any temporary closures or restrictions: Sometimes specific sections might need to be closed for maintenance or other reasons.
  • Reminders about safe and responsible riding.

Remember, responsible riding ensures that our trails remain open and enjoyable for everyone. Please adhere to all posted rules, stay on marked trails, respect private landowners, and be mindful of other trail users.

Trails are opening SOON!

YES! You can practically taste the dust and feel the wind in your hair, can’t you? The countdown clock has officially begun! With opening day on May 15th looming less than a month away, the anticipation is reaching fever pitch here in Casco! That glorious rumble of engines is about to echo through the woods once more, and the thrill of conquering those Maine trails is almost within our grasp. Now is the sacred time, the pre-game ritual, to bestow some TLC upon your trusty ATV. Wrenches are your wands, and fresh fluids are your potions – let’s get those toys finely tuned and roaring to go!

But hold on a minute, my fellow adventurers! That gnawing excitement, that irresistible urge to just “test” the waters, to sneak in a quick peek at your favorite trail? RESIST IT! I know it’s tempting, with the sun shining and the mud calling your name, but remember the golden rule: our incredible trail system here in Casco is a privilege, not a right. These paths wind through the generosity of private landowners, folks who graciously open their property for our enjoyment. One wrong move, one early track, could jeopardize that access for all of us. Let’s show our utmost respect and patience.
